What Treskia does

Treskia is a personal finance app for iPhone, built for India. It reads the transaction-alert emails your banks already send you, extracts the transaction details (amount, merchant, card, date), and shows you your spending. All of this happens on your phone.

Google user data we access and how we use it

Treskia connects to your Gmail account through Sign in with Google, using Google's read-only Gmail permission (the gmail.readonly scope). Treskia can read email; it cannot send, delete, or change anything. Treskia never sees your Google password — sign-in happens with Google.

The app uses this access for one purpose: finding your banks' transaction-alert emails and turning them into a spending view for you. Filtering, parsing, and AI inference all run on your iPhone. Your emails, your parsed transactions, and anything derived from them are never transmitted off your device. There are no Treskia servers that receive Gmail data.

What leaves your phone

One thing can ever leave your device, and only if you choose to send it: an anonymised email template. If Treskia can't parse an email from a bank it doesn't know yet, you can opt in to share the email's structure so Treskia can learn that bank's format. Before anything is sent, the template is stripped of body text, subject, amounts, names, and account numbers. You are shown a preview of exactly what will be sent, and nothing is sent until you confirm.

That is the complete list. Every other network call the app makes is inbound-only: it downloads updates to its parser rules.

What we never do

Limited Use compliance

Treskia's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access and deleting data

You can revoke Treskia's access to your Gmail at any time from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

To delete your data, delete the app. Everything Treskia stores lives locally on your device, so removing the app removes it all. If you previously chose to submit an anonymised template and want it deleted, email gokusayon@gmail.com and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date. If a change would let more data leave your device than described here, the app will ask for your consent before doing so.
